Libraries & Archives Grants
The application form will be available on September 8th
A variety of funding opportunities are available for faculty and students through the Libraries & Archives:
Curriculum Development Micro-Grants
Libraries & Archives Related Curriculum Development Micro-Grants
Beginning in AY26/27, faculty recipients of the Libraries & Archives’ Teaching in the Archives and Experiential Learning in the Libraries Micro-Grants will form a Community of Practice with our librarians that encourages collaboration and learning from each other. The focus of this community of practice will be the integration of metaliteracies (information, data, digital, visual, maker, etc.) through course-integrated experiential learning and will include support from the Center for Teaching & Learning. Recipients of these awards for whom implementation will begin in Spring 2026 will help us shape guidelines for this community of practice.
Teaching in the Archives Micro-Grant
Applications are due October 15, 2025, for implementation in Spring 2026 or May 31, 2026, for implementation in AY26/27.

There will also be a small pool of funds available for the purchase of consumable materials or other resources required for students to complete their projects.
Award Amount
$1,500 faculty stipend per award
Up to an additional $500, per awarded project, will be available for the purchase of materials or supplies that support the project.

Implementation Grants
Student Action Research Implementation Grant
Applications are due May 15, 2026, for implementation during FY27.
Purpose
One recommendation related to the work of the Libraries & Archives, based on a student-led action research project, will be selected for implementation during the subsequent academic year by the Libraries & Archives. The recommendation selected must cost less than $3,000 for the initial implementation and cost less than $1,000 annually to maintain in subsequent years. This award does not fund the action research project which may be completed as part of course work or as a personal or group project unrelated to a course. Please encourage your students who are engaging in relevant action research to submit their work for consideration OR consider applying for one of the Libraries & Archives Related Curriculum Development micro-grants to develop an assignment or project that results in students completing campus-based action research.
Award Amount
Up to $3,000 in implementation costs
Goal
Our goal is to empower students to see their ideas come to fruition and to encourage them to engage with the Libraries & Archives to better support our community.

Course Material Affordability Grants
Libraries & Archives’ Open Educational Resource Adoption and Adaptation Grants
Funding of adoption and adaptation grants will be accepted on a rolling basis each fiscal year until the funds are exhausted.
Purpose
These grants will support, via stipends, collaborative relationships between faculty and librarians that result in the adoption or adaptation of open educational resources and reduce the cost of students’ course materials.
Award Amount
Grants will stipend faculty for the following:
- $300 for the adoption of OER that results in low cost* for course materials
- $500 for the adoption of OER that results in no cost for course materials
- $1000 for the adaptation of existing OER that results in no cost for course materials in that course.
- Modification can include editing, adapting, or adding to an existing OER or creating a new OER through combining content from multiple OER.
* Low cost courses are those that would require less than $25 in course material expenses for students.
Goal
Our goal is to create and promote choices for students that center affordability and address financial insecurity.
