The Study

The Study is an ambition-based resource for students as they adapt to the expectations and opportunities throughout their time at CSB and SJU. Students can access online content and in-person peer coaching as they develop skills for academic success. Goal setting, time management, effective studying, communication and presentation skills are among those that can be intentionally developed with support from The Study.

Manage Priorities and Avoid Procrastination

The college experience is full of opportunities and expectations. Knowing your priorities and how to manage your time with those in mind are key to accomplishing what is most important to you. These are also essential professional skills and necessary in reaching personal as well as academic goals.

Study Smarter

CSB and SJU graduates are life-long learners. The skills they developed for efficient and independent learning continue to propel their interests and achievements. These strategies and practices will set you up to learn well, save time, and achieve more in your classes.

Two young adults sit outside on wooden chairs, smiling and using an HP laptop. The woman has blonde hair and wears a black vest over a gray long-sleeve shirt. The man has short brown hair and wears a brown jacket. They appear to be in a grassy area with trees in the background.

Communication

In your time at CSB and SJU, you will have opportunities to know your professors, take advantage of abundant resources, learn in community with other students, and develop the kind of interpersonal skills that will set you apart in professional positions and graduate programs. Your classes will be full of opportunities (and expectations) to develop and practice these skills. Resources at The Study will help clarify some of the expectations, their purpose, and approaches that lead to successful communication.

The Network for Academic Success

Saint Ben’s and Saint John’s students have a suite of support services available to them! The Network for Academic Success includes offices that speak to a wide range of academic topics and experiences. All students are encouraged to engage with these services to excel in their academic studies at CSB and SJU.
