The 2023 class for the Summer Leadership Fellows Program at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University will make it possible for 52 students to engage in 10-week internships with nonprofit or government institutions.
The program, a collaboration between the Experience Hub at CSB and SJU and the Eugene J. McCarthy Center for Public Policy and Civic Engagement, includes John Brandl Scholars, the Fleischhacker Center for Ethical Leadership in Action Fellows, the Marie and Robert Jackson Fellows and Bonner Fellows.
Participants, who are selected through an application and interview process, come from a wide range of majors, interests and experiences. Each student selected receives a stipend of $6,000 paid throughout the summer. They are eligible for an additional $1,000 professional development stipend, and also can elect to register for and receive internship credits, though it is not required.
