CSB Residential Life and Housing
Current Events and Updates
The Residential Life & Housing Office strongly encourages you to take the Long Weekend Break to spend time away with your family and/or other loved ones. We recognize that not everyone will be leaving campus for the Long Weekend. So what should you do if you need to stay on campus?
You must submit notice of your intent to remain on campus by filling out a Long Weekend Notice of Stay found on the Housing Portal. We ask that you complete the Long Weekend Notice of Stay no later than 4:00 pm, Wednesday, October 7th. This allows us to know who is on campus in the event of an emergency during Long Weekend as well as share updates regarding adjusted hours of campus services with those who choose to stay on campus.

The Residential Life program at the College of Saint Benedict provides a four year residential experience of community living which supports and challenges our students with opportunities for personal and social growth. As a Benedictine, liberal arts college, we believe that living in a community is of central importance to the student experience and all students are required to live on campus.
Students may Appeal to Be Released from the Residency Requirement or participate in the Off-Campus Selection process for the 2016-2017 academic year. For information about eligibility and requirements, click here.
- October 15 - Deadline for students to sign up for Off-Campus Selection Process (All group members need to apply for off campus and all need to mutually accept each other on the form).
- November 15 - Notification of release from Off-Campus Selection
- December 15 - Deadline for students to accept/decline offer to live off campus
Families from Saint Joseph and the Surrounding communities are invited to Trick-or-Treat through our first-year residence halls and to enjoy a Halloween Carnival with fun games, activities, and prizes!
