Policy change

All new and returning students are required to have a health insurance policy in place while attending Saint Ben’s or Saint John’s. Since the Affordable Care Act requires domestic students to have health insurance coverage, domestic students no longer need to provide the company name and policy number of their health insurance. If you need coverage, you can request to purchase coverage from the company the college provides access to in the Forms Portal. Deadlines to sign up are August 30^th for fall semesters or full year and December 31^st for spring/summer semesters.

International Students are required to have a health insurance policy in force while attending the College of Saint Benedict’s and Saint John’s University. All International Students will be enrolled in and billed for the Student Accident and Sickness Insurance Plan from Student Assurance Services (SAS) unless the student carries comparable insurance and submits the waiver via this survey by the deadline date. International Students who do not complete the Verification of Health Insurance in the Forms Portal by the deadline will be billed the full amount of the annual SAS premium.

Those students participating in intercollegiate sports must have their insurance information submitted by their designated due date (please refer to the CSB Athletics or SJU Athletics website for due dates).
