Transfer Credits

Community College Transfer Guides

The College of Saint Benedict/Saint John’s University are currently implementing an innovative new general education curriculum; titled Integrations Curriculum.  The new Integrations Curriculum will be in effect for new students beginning in the Fall of 2020.  In the interim, we will evaluate transfer coursework for general credit transfer.  However, since the details of the new curriculum are still under development, we will not be able to determine exactly which course will count for which requirement at this time. As those details are finalized, we will re-evaluate any new coursework and update articulation agreements.  Thank you for your patience during this time of transition as we create an even better learning experience at CSB/SJU.

Transfer students who enroll at CSB/SJU during fall 2020 or spring 2021, will complete the Common Curriculum degree requirements. A transfer student is defined as a student who attended a post-secondary institution as a degree-seeking student after graduating from high school.  Their transfer coursework will be evaluated on a course-by-course basis to determine the fulfillment of any Common Curriculum requirements or elective credits.  Transfer students need to discuss with the department chair any coursework they would like considered as fulfilling a major or minor requirement.

Transfer students who enter fall 2021 or after will be required to complete the new Integrations Curriculum.

Repeating Courses

Coursework completed through AP, IB or transfer may not be repeated at CSB/SJU for additional credit. If you choose to enroll in the equivalent course at CSB/SJU, the AP, IB or transfer credits will be removed from your CSB/SJU transcript.
