NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION DATES

Thursday, August 21 – Sunday, August 24

Move-In Day for New & Transfer Students: Thursday, August 21, 2025
+Move-In will occur from 7:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. on both campuses.
+After Move-In there will be a session for students & parents, followed by lunch and a prayer
service.
+Families will depart campus by 2:30pm, at which point students will begin their Orientation
Program.

New Student Orientation at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s Univeristy is designed to welcome all new students and to help them launch a successful college experience. New Student Orientation provides incoming new students with a set of common shared experiences and information to establish a foundation for student academic success, personal growth and meaningful connections. All new students are assigned to an orientation group that is led by an Orientation Leader (OL). Throughout the New Student Orientation program there are many opportunities for students to meet each other, participate in a variety of programs, meet with their College Success Course classmates and instructor, and learn more about campus resources that support academic and personal well-being. New Student Orientation helps students make important initial connections in their residential community and their orientation group and introduces students to what it means to be a member of the CSB and SJU community. You won’t want to miss it!
