International Students
Applying for International Admission
1. Apply online using the Common Application. You may also print the PDF version and mail it in. In addition to the the main application, you will also need to fill out the following supplemental forms found on their Web site:
2. Remember to include a personal statement, an official high school transcript and your standardized test scores (ACT/SAT/TOEFL) with your application. Note: We do not charge an application fee.

Documents to include with your application
Personal Statement The personal statement is an essential part of your application. It gives you an opportunity to "talk" with those that will ready your application. It also give them them an opportunity to learn about you as a person. Your statement will stand as a sample of your writing abilities. Careful consideration should be paid to content and technical correctness.
Academic Records Please request all of your secondary and post-secondary institutions to send official copies of your academic records to the Admission Office. These records should be sent airmail, Federal Express, DHL, etc.. All academic records must have an original signature of an institutional office and bear the seal of the institution. Photocopies of originals are accepted for application purposes.
Standardized Test Scores SAT, TOEFL, etc. If your score is not on your official transcript, you must have an official score report sent to the Admission Office. The SAT and TOEFL school code for CSB is 6104; SJU is 6624. If you take more than one test we will consider your best score. The TOEFL test, or other similar test of English language ability, is required for all international applicants. The SAT is recommended but not required. If English had been the primary language of instruction throughout secondary school, the TOEFL test will be waived. In place of the TOEFL, two teacher recommendations are required.
Other External Examinations Among those recognized are the International Baccalaureate Higher Level exam, the British General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) "A" level exam, the East/West African "A" level exam (EASCE) (WASCE), the French Baccalaureate II exam, the Norwegian Upper-Secondary School Certificate, German Abitur exam, and other country-specific exams.
Financial InformationThe College Board Certification of Finances and the College Board International Student Financial Aid Application are required for admission and financial aid. A link to these forms and more information can be found on our International Student Financial Information page.
