During the summer, St. John’s offers many opportunities and has a variety of spaces available for the recreational enjoyment of guests who are staying on campus.

Fitness Center
- Please note: To use the fitness center you must be at least 18 years of age. You must also be a member of the campus community or a guest staying in university lodging.
Climbing Wall

Abbey Arboretum Trails / Wobegon Trail
- There are multiple trails on campus ranging in length from 1.5 to just over 3 miles. Including the Chapel Trail which takes you around Lake Sagatagan to the scenic Stella Maris Chapel, which is only accessible on foot.
- The Lake Wobegon Trail passes just to the North East of campus and can be easily picked up off of local roads.
- Paper copies of the trail maps are available in the St. John’s Events Office. Digital copies of trail maps and more information about outdoor activities on campus are available online at St. Johns Outdoor University.
Tundra
Pottery Studio
- The Pottery Studio has daily tours on weekdays. Please see St. John’s Pottery for studio hours and more information on artist-in-residence, master potter Richard Bresnahan.
Library
- The Alcuin Library and the Hill Museum and Manuscript Library (HMML) keep regular hours during the academic year and over the summer. Please see CSB/SJU Libraries and HMML for current hours.
