About the Archives

The Saint John's University Archives collects the historical records that document the history of SJU (with some overlap with the Abbey, Prep School, and other entities on campus).

To access the Archives it is necessary to make an appointment by calling ahead (320-363-2129) or sending an emailThe Archives have moved to a new, permanent location in the basement of Alcuin Library, but the library building is closed until January 2017.  Thus the Archives can be accessed, but by appointment only. 
Location
The University Archives is located on the basement level of Alcuin Library (12 on the SJU Campus Map). After entering the library building, take the elevator to the basement; the Archives will be to your left.  Note:  See also the Saint John's Abbey Archives.
