Global Languages and Cultures Minor

Broaden your worldview and deepen your cross-cultural understanding through the Global Languages and Cultures minor. This 24-credit program blends immersive language learning with globally focused coursework to help you develop the skills needed to engage thoughtfully and effectively in an interconnected world. You’ll complete 16 credits of language study—in one or more languages—with at least 4 credits at the 200 level or higher, demonstrating proficiency in at least one language. Complement your language learning with 8 credits of global culture courses, taught in English or a target language, including at least 4 credits at the 300 level. Up to 8 credits may be earned through approved study abroad programs, giving you the opportunity to experience culture firsthand. Whether paired with a major in business, international relations, the arts, or sciences, this minor adds a valuable global dimension to your education.
