Doctor of Nursing Practice – Leadership

Prepare to lead the way

Are you ready to become a key player in today’s complex healthcare environment? The Doctor of Nursing Practice: Leadership track will empower you to rise to new levels of leadership. You’ll develop specialized expertise to become an agent for change in the evolving healthcare landscape. You’ll also be equipped to pursue roles where you will be responsible for managing nursing staff and serve as a source of knowledge for your team.

We offer two tracks to enter the program, each with a customized curriculum:

  • A BSN-DNP (for those with a BS degree)
  • A post master’s full-time option (6 semesters)

BSN to DNP Eligibility

  • A 4-year nursing degree from an accredited program conferred prior to the start of the program
  • Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0
  • Current, unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse
  • Preferred qualifications for admission include a minimum 1-year of leadership experience (healthcare or other)

MSN to DNP Eligibility

  • A master’s degree in nursing from an accredited program conferred prior to the start of the program for Post Master’s to DNP option
  • Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0
  • Current, unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse
  • Preferred qualifications for admission include at least 1-year leadership experience as an RN

Tuition & Fees

Tuition is charged based on the number of credits taken per semester.

DNP Leadership: $898 per credit hour

You will also be charged a Program Fee and a Technology Fee each semester. In some semesters, you may be charged additional fees (such as simulation laboratory fees) that are associated with certain courses.

Estimated Program Fee: $375 per semester
Estimated Technology Fee: $150 per semester
Estimated Cost of Textbooks: $1500 per year

Housing and Food: $10,500
Books and Supplies: $1200 
Travel: $750 
Personal Expenses: $2250

There may be opportunities for tuition discounts if you are an alum or employee of CentraCare. There are limited opportunities for graduate nursing assistantships that could reduce tuition cost.
