Jeff Korsmo

Jeff Korsmo is an adjunct instructor in the Global Business Leadership Department.

Jeff graduated from Saint John’s University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with an Economics Concentration. He earned a Masters of Science Degree in Management with a Finance Concentration from the Krannert Graduate School of Management at Purdue University. He earned an Executive Black Belt in Quality Improvement from the Carlson School Juran Institute at the University of Minnesota.

Jeff began and spent most of his career at Mayo Clinic, initially as Mayo’s first Administrative Fellow, and then many other roles, including CFO of Mayo in Florida, clinical administrator, CFO of Mayo Clinic Rochester and subsequently Chief Administrative Officer for Mayo in Rochester and the Upper Midwest.

Jeff was a member of the Mayo Clinic Board of Trustees, and the Executive Director of the Mayo Clinic Health Policy Center during the time of health care reform activity in Washington, DC. He also worked on a Mayo initiative in Hyderabad, India during this time.

After leaving Mayo in 2011, Jeff served as CEO of Via Christi Health, based in Wichita, Kansas and Executive Vice President of Essentia Health based in Duluth, MN. Since 2018, Jeff has been consulting with nonprofits and writing a book about the history of the Rochester Mustangs, a semi-professional hockey team in his hometown.

Jeff received the Saint John’s Alumni Achievement Award in 2002 and the Saint John’s Bob Basten Excellence in Leadership Award in 2013.

Jeff teaches Business and Public Policy.
