Incoming New Students
Your first-year experience starts when you officially enroll as a CSB/SJU student! FYX is here to support you as you Begin Your Journey as a college student and member of the CSB/SJU community. What can incoming students and their families expect from FYX?
- In the spring and summer leading up to your first semester on campus, FYX offers our Beginning the Journey Webinar Series. Sessions will begin in March and run through early August, bringing you timely information to help you prepare for your arrival on campus!
- In addition to the webinar series, New First-Year students are enrolled in “Beginning the Journey,” our free online Orientation course called “Beginning the Journey” that launches June 1. A new module with timely content is released each week leading up to Orientation Weekend. Students are expected to engage with each module prior to arrival on campus.
- Students (and families) will receive regular Transition to CSB/SJU newsletters from FYX starting June 1 until Orientation Weekend. This will include important reminders to complete tasks, forms, and access resources prior to arrival on campus in August.
- And finally, your education experience at the College of Saint Benedict & Saint John’s University officially begins with Orientation Weekend, a program designed to welcome all students and to help them launch a successful college experience. Orientation takes place the weekend before the first day of classes.
