Who can attend reunion with me?
As an alum in your Reunion year, you are welcome to register guests to join you at Reunion. Spouses, significant others, partners, family members, and Bennie/Johnnie alums from any class year are welcome to attend. If your spouse is an alum also in a Reunion year and you will be purchasing housing, you can decide if you want to room together or stay separately.
What do I register for in advance?
There are four things you register for in advance:
- Housing if you would like a bed.
- Reunion Launch! Picnic event on Friday evening at SJU for all alums.
- Big Brunch event on Saturday at CSB for all alums.
- Saturday evening CSB All-Class Dinner and Celebration for Bennies and the SJU All-Class Dinner and Celebration for Johnnies.
All other meals can be paid for at the door of either Gorecki Dining Center (CSB) or The Refectory (SJU). There are also special 50th Reunion lunches on Friday for those milestone classes.
Is Reunion pet friendly?
Both campuses do not allow pets. However, service animals, as prescribed by ADA, are welcome.
When I arrive to check-in reunion weekend, which campus do I go to (CSB or SJU)?
We ask that all attendees check-in at the campus where they signed-up for housing. If you did not sign-up for housing during reunion weekend, you can check-in at either campus. Check-in is in Gorecki Center Lobby at CSB and in Brother Willie’s Pub in Sexton Commons at SJU.
If I am part of a couple coming to Reunion and we only want one bed, do we still have to pay per person?
When you purchase housing you are purchasing a bed. You are welcome to share a bed, but please note that the only beds available in the residence halls are twin-size beds.
Can I bring an air mattress and just sleep on someone’s floor?
You can bring an air mattress if that is your preference. There is no housing cost for sleeping on an air mattress on a friend’s floor. However, you will need to provide your own bedding, pillows, and towels. You also won’t get a room key. Events will only give room keys to those who pay for a bed.
Is there separate housing for families and if so, where?
Yes, family housing is available on both the CSB and SJU campuses. Select from housing options associated with your class year. If you have any questions about housing for a family, please contact your alum office by phone to discuss.
What is included in the rooms with Reunion housing?
The campuses provide a mattress pad, sheets and pillow covering, blanket, pillow, bath towel, hand towel, and wash cloth for each person who pays for a bed during Reunion. Please bring your own toiletries including hand soap, bath/shower supplies, and toothpaste. If you prefer your own pillow or bedding, feel free to bring that and remember the beds are twin size. Many past attendees also suggest bringing a fan, cooler with ice, snacks, and other items to enjoy throughout your stay on campus.
Can I pick where I want to stay?
Housing assignments have been predetermined and are designated by class year. Reunion guests may be able to request the type of room they prefer, such as a single occupancy room, double, triple, etc., based on availability. If you are registering a group of fellow alums in different class years, you will be able to select from their housing options (as well as your own) so you can stay together. If you have any questions about this, please contact your alum office by phone to discuss.
What are hotel/motel options in the area if I choose not to stay on campus?
You can also go to the Visit Greater St. Cloud website for other housing options in the area.
