Kate Lovy MS, LD, RDN Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Kate is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist in the Well-Being Center and Culinary Services. She has her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nutritional science from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. In addition to a lifetime of love for food and cooking, Kate has experience providing nutrition counseling in both inpatient and outpatient settings. |
Referral
A referral is not required from Health Services or Culinary Services to schedule a Dietitian Consultation.

Day/Time
Dietitian telehealth consultations are available on Thursdays, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Allow 1 hour for the initial consultation
- Allow 40 minutes for follow-up appointments
Fees
- Dietitian Appointments: Free
- No-Show Fee: $20
- Less than 48-hour Cancellation: $20
Less than 48-hour cancellations and no-show fees are billed directly to your CSB+SJU Student Account. Students can view their statement by logging in my.csbsju and their Health Services Patient Portal > then click on the Walkout Statement icon to view current and past statements.

Common reasons CSB and SJU students work with a dietitian:
- Eating disorders
- Vegetarian or vegan diet advice
- Athletic performance
- Wellness
- Achieving and/or maintaining a healthy weight
- Medical conditions with nutrition implications including diabetes, high cholesterol, anemia, food allergy/intolerances, hypoglycemia, heart disease, high blood pressure, irritable bowel disease (IBS), and/or colitis.
Nutrition education can address:
- How to eat a balanced diet in the dining halls
- How to assemble a meal or menu, meal prepping and planning
- How to shop for healthy, budget-friendly meals
- Establishing a healthy food pattern/routine
