Three people are preparing fresh green lettuce in a well-organized kitchen. Two individuals in matching purple shirts, black gloves, and hats are working together, while a third person in a black shirt stands by and observes. The kitchen appears clean with ample supplies.

The College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University provide reasonable accommodations to students with documented disabilities and medical conditions. While all student residents are required to purchase a meal plan, CSB and SJU students with documented food-related conditions may require accommodations. Dining accommodation requests will be reviewed on an individualized, case-by-case basis. Please note:  Accommodations will not be considered for individuals who choose to avoid certain foods based on choice.

In an effort to determine appropriate accommodation eligibility, Student Accessibility Services (SAS) must obtain comprehensive information regarding a student’s dietary needs.

Students, if you’d like to complete a request for a dining accommodation, log into myCSBSJU. Here is the procedure for requesting dining accommodations:

  1. Complete our Request for Dining Accommodation Form.
  2. Have your health care provider complete our Practitioner Verification for Dining Accommodations Form.
  3. Initial Appointment: Call 320-363-5245 to set up an initial appointment with a Student Accessibility Specialist.

SAS will utilize information provided in the three steps mentioned above to determine accommodation eligibility. SAS frequently needs to consult with professional staff members from our Dining and Culinary Services. In such circumstances, all documentation will be stored in the SAS office and identifying information will remain private.

If you have questions, call 320-363-5245.
