CSB+SJU Student Maple Syrup Festival
Saturday, April 1, 2023 | 2-4 p.m.
CSB/SJU students are invited to join us for an afternoon of sap collecting, syrup cooking, demonstrations, and hot maple syrup sundaes as we introduce you to this annual rite of spring. N
Note: Saint John's Abbey will begin producing maple syrup every other year. During non-production years, Outdoor U will tap a limited number of trees for educational purposes and will not host a public Maple Syrup Festival. We look forward to welcoming the community to a full maple season again in 2024.
Before You Come:
- The festival is ENTIRELY OUTDOORS - rain, snow, or shine. Please dress for the weather.
- It is usually extremely muddy, snowy, and occasionally icy out at the sugar shack. We HIGHLY recommend wearing boots.
- You are welcome to walk to the sugar shack from campus (about 1-mile), some transportation will be provided.
