Transferring Credits

Let’s work together.

At CSB+SJU, we will work with you to make sure you are receiving the appropriate credits. Each case is evaluated on an individual basis, but the following are the general guidelines. Please review this page carefully, then contact our transfer coordinator Teri Durbin with any questions.

Each case is evaluated on an individual basis, but the following are the general guidelines. CSB+SJU will accept credits from another college that meet the following criteria:

Minnesota Transfer Curriculum

For students who have completed the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum or earned an associate of arts degree at a Minnesota college, block transfer can make things simpler. The Minnesota Transfer Curriculum and AA degrees meet many core curriculum or general education requirements at CSB+SJU.

Community College Transfer Guides

CSB+SJU have a strong relationship with Minnesota’s community colleges and have developed specific transfer policy for credits earned at those institutions. The following Transfer Guides outline classes and credits that will transfer.

Transfer Pathways – Biology

Transfer Pathways are designed so you can complete a specific associate degree at a Minnesota community college and transfer to a CSB and SJU to earn a bachelor’s degree without losing credits or taking extra courses.

CSB and SJU have set up Biology Transfer Pathways at the following institutions.

Transfer Pathways – Psychology

CSB and SJU have set up Psychology Transfer Pathways at the following institutions.

Transfer Pathways – Honors Scholars

Transfer students are welcome and encouraged to apply to the Honors Scholars program at CSB and SJU. Our Honors program transcends traditional academic models to create something extraordinary; the program creates purposeful, value-driven leaders who strive to make a difference in the world.

“After attending a large public college for nearly two years, I decided that a smaller college would be a better option for me. I wanted a much more personalized education, and the smaller class sizes were important to me as well. Also, the football program here is extremely respected, and I am able to play for an annually top-ranked team in the nation.

The community here is unmatched. Not only am I part of it, but I feel like I have an impact here everyday. I know that I’m not just a number at Saint John’s.”
