Biography
Sean Dooley is a seasoned actor and educator with extensive experience in theatre, film, and television. He has performed with numerous respected theatre companies including the History Theatre, Old Log Theatre, Mixed Blood Theatre, Illusion Theatre, Jungle Theatre, Children’s Theatre Company, Chameleon Theatre Circle, Door Shakespeare, Chanhassen Dinner Theatre, Zephyr Theatre, Sidekick Theatre, Bloomington Civic Theatre, Theatre Latté Da, and the Guthrie Theater. At the Guthrie, he has appeared in over ten productions, with notable roles in Juno and the Paycock, The Winter’s Tale, Jane Eyre, Othello, 1776, and Ah! Wilderness.
Sean’s screen credits include the Netflix series Lady Dynamite starring Maria Bamford, the feature film Wilson starring Woody Harrelson, and Memorial Day, starring James Cromwell.
His teaching career began while with the Guthrie Theater, where he traveled around the country as part of three touring productions. Since then, he has served as a theatre instructor at several institutions, including Hope College, North Hennepin Community College, Century College, Concordia University, and the University of Wisconsin–River Falls.
