Visiting Writers Series
The Literary Arts Institute hosted several writers during our visiting series, Writers Writing. Throughout their stay, the campus community and general public engaged with influential authors of our time. Below holds the archives of poets, memoirists, fiction writers, and essayists who shared the passion and pitfalls of the creative process as they presented:
- public readings
- master classes
- panel discussions
Their work is also integrated into the curriculum.
The Literary Arts Institute of the College of Saint Benedict is proud to have hosted notable writers, including those recognized as Pulitzer Prize winners and U.S. Poet Laureates.
Past participants include authors such as Anne Carson, Claudia Rankine, Robert Pinsky, Donald Hall, Marilynne Robinson, Billy Collins, Charles Simic, Robert Hass, Tracy K. Smith, and W.S. Merwin.
