Thanks to our amazing community of donors, Give CSB Day set another new record, raising $856,462 – the highest total in our campaign’s history! This generous support helps fund scholarships for our students and supports clubs, departments and programs, making a significant impact across our campus community.

Nearly every student at CSB relies on scholarships to pursue their dreams. The powerful generosity of 938 total donors (shattering our goal of 850) is making a lasting impact on them and helping our whole community shine brighter.

We’d especially like to shout out our generous matching gift donors for empowering Bennies through their steadfast leadership. Discover who they are and learn the stories behind why they choose to give to Saint Ben’s.

“Some time ago as I was writing several small checks to feed starving children all over the world, save the bees, etc. I remembered an old Chinese Proverb; “Give a man a fish, you feed him for a day.  Teach him to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.” Contributing to Saint Ben’s is my adaptation of this proverb. I give so that these smart, caring and talented women can go out into the world and teach so many how to create meaningful change that will make the world safer and healthier.”

Kathy and I are delighted to support the growth of St. Ben’s outstanding nursing program through the Reinke-Nemmers Nursing Scholars. The late Kathy Christenson ’77 Nemmers and the late Dr. Mark Reinke were passionate advocates for healthcare education and for expanding opportunities for first-generation students. It’s inspiring to see the first cohort of Nursing Scholars arrive on campus and begin their CSB journey.

“Susan and I believe in making a Saint Ben’s education available to all young women who desire it. We know the value of a Saint Ben’s education. Our daughters, Libbie, Emily and Madeleine, received excellent educations that shaped not only their minds, but their character and spirit. We’re also thrilled that they’re fully employed! As a trustee, I’m aware of the deep commitment of the faculty, president and senior leadership of the college. Susan and I are pleased with the care and thoughtfulness with which they manage the resources of the college.”

“Our daughter’s education at Saint Ben’s both inside and outside of the classroom, as well as the friendships she developed while there, gave her a great foundation for life after Saint Ben’s. We want to help other young women to benefit from a Saint Ben’s education and experience.”

“Giving is a way of expressing gratitude.  Gratitude to the CSB faculty & Sisters of St. Benedict for providing such a wonderful education & gratitude for the blessings that have occurred as a result of that strong educational and life experience.”

“With many Bennies and Johnnies in the family, the Sloan Family Fund is happy to support Give CSB Day and encourage others to make a difference with a gift to student scholarships.”

FAQs

What is “Give CSB Day”?

Give CSB Day is an online one-day challenge on Oct. 22, 2025, that will unite alumnae, faculty, staff, parents, students and friends of the College of Saint Benedict in support of the causes that matter to all of us. Each gift made online to Saint Ben’s during this 24-hour period will help drive change at the college and illuminate our future.
