Research interests
My research focuses on pollinator health and ecology, with an emphasis on Megachile rotundata and other native or managed bees. I investigate how environmental and biological stressors including temperature extremes, oxidative stress, parasites, and pathogens affect pollinator physiology, behavior, and reproductive success. My work also explores the intersection of pollinator conservation and pest management, evaluating the ecological risks and benefits of biological control agents and developing integrated pest management (IPM) strategies that reduce harm to non-target insects. I am especially interested in supporting conservation and applied practices that benefit pollinators in both agricultural and urban landscapes, providing actionable insights for bee brokers, growers, and conservationists.
