Connecting pre-health students to real-world experience 

HealthLink gives Bennie and Johnnie students the opportunity to explore health care careers by shadowing Bennie and Johnnie professionals in the workplace. Students gain firsthand exposure to day-to-day responsibilities, workplace culture and the skills needed for success in health care fields. 

This program is also designed to help students complete the shadowing hours required for admission to many graduate and professional health care programs. 

Please note that shadowing experiences do not count as patient contact hours. Shadowing is considered an “observation” experience. While different from direct patient care, these experiences are highly valuable and are expected by graduate programs.
