    • Answer: Volunteer at sustainability related events (listed on home page), submit ideas for campus initiatives (email [email protected]), submit sustainable related news for our monthly newsletter (email [email protected])
  • Question: What are things that should be recycled?
    • Answer: Aluminum, plastic bottles, newspaper, cardboard, steel cans, glass containers, magazines and other paper
  • Question: What are ways that I can help the environment?
    • Answer: Turn off lights when you leave a room, use energy efficient light bulbs, eat the food you take, use a composting bin and know what items are recyclable 
  • Question: What is sustainability?
    • Answer: Broadly defined, sustainability means meeting society's current needs without compromising the ability of the future generations to meet their own needs
  • Question: What is composting?
    • Answer: Composting is the process of recycling food materials to form soil. Recycling organic waste returns nutrients back into the soil and allows for more growth. Things that can be composted are fruit and vegetable scraps, used paper towels and napkins, egg shells, coffee grounds, soy, rice, milk, etc.
