Donelle Poling Appointed as Grant Director

Saint John’s School of Theology and Seminary is proud to announce that Donelle Poling ‘05 has been appointed, effective January 14, 2022, as the Grant Director for the new initiative, “Conversatio: Creating a Culture of Encounter."

Donelle has dedicated her career to serving others. Before her time at the SOT/Sem, Donelle worked as a lay ecclesial minister in the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis and taught theology and worked as a campus minister at Academy of Holy Angels in Richfield, MN. In 2017 Donelle was hired as the Associate Director of Youth in Theology and Ministry, which was a position she maintained even after being hired as the Director of Admission at Saint John’s School of Theology and Seminary in 2019. In 2020, Donelle was named the Acting Director of Youth and Theology in Ministry after Jeff Kaster retired, in addition to her duties as Admission Director.

As the Director of Admission, Donelle maintained recruitment numbers during the uncertain beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. She also made significant strides in streamlining the Admission Office and the admission process, established vital relationships, and expanded the SOT-Sem’s recruitment strategy by hiring the first Associate Director of Admission.

In addition to her professional career at Saint John’s, Donelle is also an alumna of the College of Saint Benedict and a graduate of Saint John’s School of Theology and Seminary with a Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry.
