• His primary interest is in teaching organ and keyboard training as a leader of liturgical music and music for worship.  
• His courses include basic, midlevel and advanced organ, service playing, improvisation, and Music in the Liturgy

Biography

• He is originally from Buffalo, NY, region, extensive study in areas per listing above.  In addition to his academic career, including MSU, Mankato, MN, Western Mich. U, Kalamazoo, MI and SJU, he has extensive professional experience as recitalist, presenter, and recording artist, with appearances at conferences across the United States and Europe. He also has extensive experience at conferences on worship and theological aspects of liturgy and music.

Publications

• He has commercial recordings on American Organ Archive label, Sonus Luxque label. He makes frequent appearances on nationally syndicated MPR program, “Pipedreams.” Over fifteen major research articles and reviews in professional journals, Worship, The American Organist, The Diapason, The Tracker. He has been a solo recitalist in over twenty stated in USA, Canada and seven European countries. His recitals include events at  the Vienna Festival Weeks, the Sibelius Festival in Finland, and the Prague spring festival.

Special Committees/Organizations

• He founded and laid out original plans for M.A., Liturgical Music, SJU.  He also founded summer Collegeville Conference on Music, Liturgy and the Arts, directed same. He is the principal advisor in M.A. program.
