We have offered online academic opportunities for many years, and we are happy to be able to extend theological education to students wherever they are in the world.

Because Saint John’s recognizes that distance, work, community and family responsibilities require some individuals to consider more non-traditional coursework, the School of Theology and Seminary seeks to meet the needs of these individuals by bringing people together in innovative learning environments, all while offering the same rigorous, academic engagement opportunities.

An Excellent Education that Works for Your Schedule

“Pursuing a graduate degree while working full-time and juggling other responsibilities can be a challenge, but my experience with the SOT/Sem and online study has proven to be an incredibly rewarding adventure.  The MAT degree program has allowed me to pick classes that work with and around the other parts of my life and I have found my professors to be very aware of, and advocates for, those of us who are not in the classroom in person.

The online opportunities that the SOT/Sem provides, which allow students to work toward a degree like the MAT entirely through distance learning, are essential for a student in a professional and family position similar to mine.  Not only am I grateful for the excellent education I am receiving and the degree I will achieve in the future, but my studies, along with the opportunities to learn from classmates and professors with backgrounds, knowledge, and experiences different than mine, are already inspiring and impacting my work, family, and faith.”
