I joined the Psychology Dept at CSB+SJU in Fall 2022. My research agenda has a longstanding focus on issues disproportionately impacting women in college, including sexism in STEM fields and interpersonal trauma like sexual assault. During my two-year postdoc at University of Michigan Institute for Research on Women & Gender, I honed my approach as a feminist psychologist while researching attitudes towards reproductive health. My teaching relies on my expertise, where I have instructed courses like Psychology of Women & Gender and created a senior seminar titled Women & Work. I'm most energized as an instructor and mentor when students explore their own experiences, learn about themselves, and use that self-awareness to pursue their passions and make positive change in the world. I am originally from the Sacramento area of California. I worked in private industry at a public policy research consultation firm after graduation and have continued to provide statistical consultation services for academic research projects. In my free time, I like to read, listen to political podcasts, and pilot small airplanes. Email me pictures of airplanes!
