HMML to be featured on public radio’s Speaking of Faith

The Hill Museum & Manuscript Library at Saint John’s University in Collegeville will be featured on American Public Media’s weekly radio program, Speaking of Faith with Krista Tippett on Sunday, Jan. 18. The program is scheduled to air on all Minnesota Public Radio affiliates at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m., including KNSR (88.9 FM) in Collegeville and KNOW (91.1 FM) in St. Paul/Minneapolis.

The Rev. Columba Stewart, OSB, executive director at HMML, and Getatchew Haile, Regents professor of medieval studies and cataloguer of oriental manuscripts, will describe how The Hill Museum & Manuscript Library is continuing the Benedictine legacy of preserving and copying ancient manuscripts – with a modern technological touch. The program’s Web site will also have video footage and interviews with HMML staff describing different aspects of HMML’s worldwide outreach and preservation work. HMML is the home of the world's largest collection of manuscript images and of The Saint John's Bible, a contemporary handwritten, illuminated Bible in English.

It is produced and distributed by American Public Media and currently heard on over 200 public radio stations across the U.S. and globally via the Web and podcast.
