Faculty chamber music ensemble Pastiche to perform Feb. 4

 Pastiche, the faculty chamber music ensemble from the College of Saint Benedict, St. Joseph, and Saint John's University, CollegevPasticheille, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4, in the Escher Auditorium, Benedicta Arts Center of the College of Saint Benedict.

The ensemble's motto, "It's always different - it's always enjoyable," demonstrates their commitment to present variety in each concert. Music selections performed in this concert range from arias by J. S. Bach to Luiz Bonfá's Brazilian tunes, a saxophone "dialogue" and a satirical piece by Robert Carl, among others.

Faculty members performing in this Pastiche concert include Richard Dirlam (saxophone), Carolyn Finley (mezzo-soprano), O. Nick Raths (guitar), Dale White (trumpet), Patricia Kent (soprano), Shannon Loehrke (harpsichord), Andrea Fedele (oboe), Edward Turley (piano), Bruce Thorton (clarinet), J. David Arnott (violin) and Lucia Magney (cello). Guest performer Coca Bochonko (viola) will also join the ensemble.

Pastiche will also perform at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Maple Grove, Minn. The event is open to the public for a suggested donation of $10.
