Millstream Arts Festival is back at Riverside

Sept. 18, 2000

St. Cloud, Minn.,-- After last year's successful move to St. Cloud, the Millstream Arts festival will once again be held at Riverside Park in St. Cloud, Sunday, Sept. 24, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The festival, well known for its high-quality artists, enticing foods and potpourri of top-notch entertainment, is offering another fun-filled day of family entertainment.

More than 40 of the best artists in the upper Midwest will feature a variety of mediums including pottery, jewelry, stained glass, fiber, painting, photography, leather and baskets.

Delicious aromas from German, Pakistani, Greek and American menus, to Saint Benedict's Monastery bread and a wide array of newly added festival foods, will tempt every palate.

This year's Showmobile will offer family entertainment including the outstanding acoustic folk/country music, and humor of recording artist Dennis Warner; the inspiring sounds of the brass quintet Class Brass; the fun and wonderment of Bumbling Science; the eastside musical duo Preston and Paulzine; and the incomparable George Mauer and Aaron Keith.

The children's hands-on-art area, once again sponsored by the Paramount Arts District, will give the younger crowd a chance to have fun and be creative while parents enjoy browsing and visiting.

"We're looking forward to another high energy festival with something for everyone and once again returning to the 'great outdoors,'" Millstream president Kathy Hagemeister said.

A donation of $1 is appreciated.
