Former CSB/SJU German Professor’s Memoir Available at Campus Bookstores

The book “Following the Trail of Max Birnbaum,” a memoir by Otmar Drekonja, is now available at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University Bookstores. The book is priced at $10.95.

A native of Klagenfurt, Austria, Drekonja is professor emeritus of German and retired in 2000 after teaching for nearly four decades at CSB/SJU. He directed 15 groups and more than 200 students on study abroad programs in Central Europe, including many semesters of the Salzburg study abroad program, which he founded in 1977.
