Emily Nelson

Emily Nelson was recognized by the Chemistry Department at CSB/SJU with the CRC First-Year Achievement Award in 2017. Outside the classroom, she has earned her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license, and works at assisted living and memory care homes. In May 2018, Nelson went on a short-term medical volunteer trip to Honduras with Global Medical Brigade. She is part of a student organization called “BenCo Swimming” that provides swimming lessons on a weekly basis to underserved families. Nelson is an executive board member for the Pre-Physician Assistant Club at CSB/SJU. She also serves as an office assistant for the CSB/SJU Chemistry and Nutrition departments.
