Sophia Buysse

During summer 2018, Sophia Buysse served as an undergraduate research fellow for the CSB/SJU Biology Department. She conducted field- and laboratory-based genetic diversity survey on White Pine trees for Katherine Furniss, visiting assistant professor of biology at CSB/SJU. Buysse has served in the CSB Office of Sustainability as the community engagement assistant. She is in the Bonner Leadership program at CSB/SJU, and during the 2016-17 academic years, she was a youth coordinator for the Promise Neighborhood in St. Cloud. Buysse served as a conservation intern with the Conservation Corps of Minnesota and Iowa at the Chippewa National Forest near Walker, Minnesota, during summer 2017.
