Stephanie Hurrle

Stephanie Hurrle sees her CSB classes as more than transactional – they are opportunities for mastery. Her professors have noted that, even when she’s already earning an A, she continues to push for complete comprehension … and then search for more to learn. She showed that same drive in her student-worker position. She could have stayed safely in a comfortable custodial job. Instead, she switched to become a math tutor, helping students in classes she hasn’t taken since high school (or classes she hasn’t taken at all). She demonstrates her organization and leadership as captain of the CSB club volleyball team. And she shows her commitment to community as a volunteer Junior Olympic volleyball coach.
