Abbegayle Witham took an aggressive approach to the credit load of her dual majors in English and history – taking her first 300-level course in her first year. “If I had realized that she was in her second semester in college I would have immediately tried to dissuade her,” recalled Professor of History Ken Jones. She was one of only three students to earn an A in the class. Witham has interned in the Hill Museum & Manuscript Library, researching, designing and curating her own exhibit. She is a College Success peer mentor and serves as both the events coordinator and the second-year captain of the crew team. This summer she will serve her second year as lead counselor for the God, Girls and Good Times camp sponsored by the Sisters of Saint Benedict’s Monastery.
