Auditions for ensembles are held during the first week of each semester. Students interested in participating in an ensemble should contact the director during the first few days of the semester, or for returning students, during the semester prior to participation.

Faculty established the ensemble requirement to provide:

• Professional training in an important area of a student’s personal performance development.
• Opportunities for music students to hear great masterworks in live performance.
• Listening experiences for other members of the CSB/SJU community.

Official Dress:

The dress code for Wind Ensemble, Orchestra, Men’s Chorus, Women’s Chorus, Chamber Choir, and Brass Choir is formal but varies from ensemble to ensemble.
