Dr. Elizabeth Johnson

Dr. Elizabeth Johnson, Distinguished Professor of Theology at Fordham University, explored the idea that God creates by empowering the evolving world of species to make itself, all the while accompanying this world through its suffering and emergence into endless forms most beautiful, in her presentation, “Creation and Evolution: Darwin and God Today.”

The lecture took place on Thursday, April 4 at 7:00 PM in Quad 264 (SJU). This lecture was co-sponsored by the Nicholas and Bernice Reuter Professorship in Science and Religion, The Saint John’s School of Theology/Seminary, and the Koch Chair in Catholic Thought and Culture.
