Job Description:The role of the Chaplain is to minister to the spiritual and religious needs of the entire hospital community: patients and their families, employees, medical personnel, and other members of the Spiritual Care Department, regardless of age, color, religion, sex, or sexual preference. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients and their families and with co-workers.
Job Qualifications:Bachelor's degree with major in theology/religion, counseling, the humanities, healthcare, education and two units of ACPE Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE). Will need four units of CPE completed within three years.
OR

Master’s degree with focus in theology/religion, counseling, humanities, healthcare, or education. and one unit of ACPE Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE). Will need four units of CPE completed within three years.
Experience:

Familiarity and comfort with variety of sacred texts as well as spiritual and value orienting systems of diverse individuals.
1 years minimum of proven experience within a team ministry required.
Additional Qualifications:

Continuing education to update professional skills and knowledge by participation in training programs, seminars, and workshops.
Documentation attesting to skills in working with adults, children, and adolescents.
Preferred Qualifications:

Membership and certification in National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC) or Association of Professional Chaplains (APC) preferred.
Master’s degree with focus in theology/religion, counseling, humanities, healthcare, or education and four units of ACPE Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE).
