Michael Urbanos ’72 is the Retired Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel, of Space Center, Inc., an industrial real estate company that owns and operates over 18 million square feet of properties located in the major distributions cities of the United States. He has over 20 years of experience handling corporate legal matters, real estate transactions and financings, directly and through the supervision of outside counsel.
Mike is a member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties Legal Forum. He serves on the Minneapolis Rotary Foundation, is Treasurer of Sterling Housing, a non-profit focused on affordable housing, and previously served as Trustee of the Manitou Fund – the beneficiary of the Donald G. McNeely Trust. In addition, Mike serves on the Advisory Board for the McNeely Center for Entrepreneurship, and has been active in the Alumni Association for many years. He has been Alumni Trustee from 2015-2019 and received the Alumni Achievement award in 2012.
Mike received a B.A. in English from St. John’s University in 1972, a B.S. in Accounting from University of Minnesota, a J.D. from the William Mitchell Law School, and an M.B.T. degree from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management. He also received his CPA in 1978. Mike resides in Minnetonka, Minnesota with his wife, Rosann Fischer. They have two grown children, Theo and Ana.
