March 26: COVID-19 Update and Testing Information
There are indications of upward trends of COVID-19 on our campuses. Effective immediately we are moving up to caution level. We will be implementing the following mitigation strategies:
- Targeted and community testing
- Targeted mitigation in areas where we see increased positive cases
We will provide community testing on the following dates to any student/employee who signs up:
Wednesday, March 31st
Thursday, April 8th
A registration link to sign up for testing will be sent on Monday, March 29th and Monday, April 5th. Please watch your e-mail and the bulletin board for the link.
To reverse these trends requires each of us to continue to be vigilant by wearing masks, following the social distancing guidelines, practicing good hand washing, and avoiding large gatherings. Please continue to self-monitor and stay home if you are not feeling well or experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19. We have come so far together, and we want our students and employees to remain on campus through the end of the semester. Further mitigation measures will be implemented as needed.
Please continue to follow the precautions recommended by the Minnesota Department of Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and our own healthcare staff. CSB/SJU has been approved as a vaccination site, if vaccine is available. If that happens we will let you know.
