The Bonner Commitment
The CSB/SJU Bonner Leader Program includes the following commitment from all participants:
- A 10-12 hour/week work award completed at a community based site
- Attendance at two, two-hour meetings per month
- Completion of two Training and Enrichment events of the students choosing each semester
- Participation in 2-3 full-group service and leadership activities each semester
- Attendance at orientation prior to the start of fall semester and mid-semester retreat prior to the start of spring semester
- A senior capstone project
Additionally, Bonner Leaders may have the opportunity to participate in:
- Select meetings with guest speakers
- Attendance at national conferences
- Planning committees and leadership teams
- Alternative Break Experiences through CSB Campus Ministry
All Bonner Leaders receive the following benefits:
- Work-study award to be completed with an off-campus community partner
- Scholarship totaling $2,500, renewable for the four years that the student remains in the program
