Alum: Erin Saupe, '07 Natural Science Major
Associate Professor of Paleobiology - Oxford, England
PhD, University of Kansas

"I loved paleontology ever since I was a child. However, I didn't think I would pursue it as a career until I took an introductory geology class at CSB/SJU. I was hooked almost immediately and fell back in love with the fossils that had fascinated me as a child. To me, being a paleontologist is like being a detective: I get to figure out what happened in the past and why."

Intern: Ryan Bugler, '18 Sociology Major
HR/MIS Intern - Freeport-McMoRan Inc.
Morenci, Arizona

"I gained a wealth of knowledge on not just the mining industry itself, but what meaningful work really is. I also learned to be comfortable with the unknown and how to deal with the stress that comes along with it. Finally, I learned that you have to be willing to put in the hours and the work if you really want to meet your goals."
