An apple a day keeps the doctor away.

If this saying holds true, the CSB/SJU community is going to stay far away from the doctor's office this spring.

The CSB/SJU Outdoor Leadership Program, SJU Outdoor University and the Peer Resource Program is hosting the 20th annual Fruit at the Finish Triathlon Saturday, April 25, beginning at Warner Palaestra, Saint John's University.

The TriAppleOn consists of a .75-kilometer swim, a 22-kilometer bike ride and a 5-kilometer run.

Check in time for the event is from 7-9 a.m. The individual men's race starts at 7:45 a.m., the individual women's race starts at 8:30 a.m. and the team race starts at 9:15 a.m.

Each year, the triathlon has a theme. This year's theme is, TriAppleOn. Last year's theme, "Sprint to the Finish Lime," was a big hit, along with past themes such as "Get Juiced, Yeah It's Race-Y" (2013) and "Bananaswamabike-orana" (2012).

Registration for CSB/SJU students, faculty and staff runs through April 18 and is $20. Non-CSB/SJU participants are able to register through April 18 as well, and costs $25. There is no day-of registration.

Registration includes entry fee, a T-shirt and a variety of refreshments and fruit served at the finish line.

This event is open to the public. To register, go to the OutdoorU website.
