2020-21 Season

2020-2021 Season

We are excited to announce our 2020-2021 season! This year, we will be creating a variety of shows, combining live and virtual performances and even a radio play. Every production and theatrical experiences will adhere to safety guidelines making sure all the performers, crew, front of house and audience members feel safe.

Our first show of the season is SPINNING INTO BUTTER by Rebecca Gilman. Performed as reader's theater, this impactful play will be directed by Dr. Kaarin S. Johnson with performances starting on September 25th.

In late October, Sean Dooley will direct Frankenstein: A radio play. This spooky tale will be performed in the Stephen B. Humphrey Theater in front of a small, physically distanced audience, as well as being live streamed online and on the radio.

In addition to our two productions this fall, the Music Department will host an Opera Workshop, directed by David DeBlieck and Carolyn Finley. This year’s workshop will be a musical revue composed of solos, duets and trios filmed live with musical accompaniment all live-streamed for audiences everywhere to enjoy.

This upcoming February, we look forward to the “masters of the virtual worlds” play: Leveling Up, directed by Sean Dooley and a soon-to-be-named show directed by Dr. Kaarin S. Johnston in March. Our year will end with the much-anticipated Dance Production directed by David DeBlieck including student choreographed elements.

Thank you for you continued support!

Theater Department Chair
