Ramond Mitchell, Head Camp Leader
Ramond hails from sunny shores Nassau, The Bahamas. He graduated from Saint John's University in May of 2017 with a BA degree in Theology. Ramond will be serving with the Benedictine Volunteer Corps at Saint Anselmo in Rome Italy for a year beginning in August of 2017. After this, he hopes to pursue a Masters Degree in Theology. During his time at Saint John's, Ramond was involved in the Saint John's Senate-serving as Student Senate President his senior year, SJU Men's Chorus, Abbey Schola, and Campus Ministry. He enjoyed every aspect of the SJU community. Ramond also enjoys singing, writing, speaking and meeting new people. This will be his third year serving as a camp leader.
Louise Perrion, 2017 Camp Leader Louise, a native of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, knew since she was five years old that she wanted to be a musician. This passion led her to participating in various music ensembles throughout junior high and high school and evolved into pursuing music as a career. She received a Bachelor’s degree in choral and instrumental music education from South Dakota State University in 2015. She was the Vocal Director at West Central Middle and High School where she taught 6-12th grade choir and was the Vocal Director for the high school’s musical, “The Little Mermaid”. Currently she is a graduate student with the Saint John’s School of Theology and Seminary, pursuing a Master of Arts in Liturgical Music. Her primary areas are voice and flute, and she also plays piano and organ. She enjoys composing, arranging and songwriting music. Her other interests include baking, running and dancing.
Morgan Windsperger, 2017 Camp Leader Morgan, a senior at the College of Saint Benedict studying Liturgical Music, is originally from Watertown, Minnesota. She is involved in the Saint Ben’s Dance Team, Saint John’s Campus Ministry, and the College of Saint Benedict/Saint John’s University Chamber Choir. Morgan is also the Chamber Choir Assistant and the NCYC Music Summer Office Assistant.
Andrew Mountin, 2017 Camp Leader
Andrew is a graduate student in Liturgical Music at St. John’s School of Theology. He also currently serves as the Director of Liturgy and Music for St. John’s Campus Ministry. Originally from Milwaukee, WI, Andrew discovered his musical abilities in high school choir and jazz ensemble as a tenor and guitarist, and began to teach himself piano his junior year. Since then, he has been fortunate to play and sing in major venues all over the United States, including a Christmas performance at the White House in 2011. Aside from all styles of music, Andrew also loves biking and playing volleyball and ultimate frisbee.
Kathryn Weinmann, 2017 Camp Leader
Kathryn is from Fargo, North Dakota. This fall she will be a sophomore studying Music Education at the College of Saint Benedict. Kathryn is in Chamber Choir and plays viola in the String Chamber Quartet on campus. In her free time, she likes to explore, hang out with friends, play viola, and of course sing. Kathryn was a chorister at NCYC during the summers of 2014 and 2015 and is excited to be part of the camp again!
