 Saint John’s University’s very own Fr. Columba Stewart, OSB kicked off his series of lectures as Phi Beta Kappa’s 2019-2020 Visiting Scholar on Wednesday, September 11th in Saint John’s Alcuin library.

The face of the American church is changing. In the context of such change, how to be community and church comes with new challenges and opportunities. Dr. Chavez will present what it means to notice, value, and relate to those from different cultural backgrounds and how our faith can be enriched by the presence of many cultures in our pews.

Phi Beta Kappa Visiting Scholars

Visiting Scholars is a program offered to undergraduates in which they may spend time with some of America’s most distinguished scholars. This past month, Stewart Columba,OSB  was announced to be a Visiting Scholar for the 2019-2020 academic year.
