Description:

At this time, we are welcoming submissions for the position of Faith Formation Coordinator at our parish of 250 families, with a little over 50 children from Pre-K to 11th grade, enrolled in our Formation Program. St. John the Baptist parish is recently twinned with St. Benedict’s Church in Avon, MN which is four miles down the road from us. We do encourage our youth to attend many activities going on in Avon, however currently our Faith Formation programs are separate for us to truly minister to each of our individual parish families. Our program meets on Sundays from 9:30-10:45 AM with Faith Formation mass once a month at 8:30 AM prior to classes. Many of our kids are active participants in mass ministries on these days.

This is a part-time position at about 10 – 12 hours a week which adds up to 40 – 45 hours a month beginning mid-August and ending in April. As part of our collaborative team as a staff and support for our vibrant Faith Formation committee, we are seeking a candidate who has a strong personal relationship with Jesus, is knowledgeable of the Catholic Faith, exuberantly joyful in working with children of all ages and can continue to lead our teachers as well as parents closer to Christ.
