SJU Basketball Coach Jim Smith to Retire

After 51 seasons of coaching in Collegeville, Coach Jim Smith will retire on June 30. Smith is Minnesota’s all-time leader for wins and 14th in NCAA college basketball history.

  

Gomes '07 Screens Pope Francis Film at SJU

Sebastian Gomes came to SJU to screen The Francis Effect, a documentary film he wrote, directed and produced through Salt + Light Media.

Johnnie Standup

This year's Johnnie Standup on Wednesday, March 18, will feature Saint John's head basketball coach Jim Smith. The event begins at 7 p.m. at Jax Café in Minneapolis.

Reunion Weekend

June 26-28 is the first-ever SJU class reunion to take place in the summertime. The classes of 2010, 2005, 2000, 1995, 1990, 1985, 1980, 1975, 1970, 1965 and Beyond the 50th Reunion are invited to come back to Collegeville and make some history!

Dan Bastian '90 and his wife, Angie, received the ACG Corporate Middle Market Bold Award for their company Angie's Boom Chicka Pop.

Jeb Myers '97 was named president of Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in Minneapolis.

Ben Doom '98 pedaled 350 miles to finish the Iditarod Trail Invitational in Alaska. He took 5th place out of 30 racers.

Dan Schmit '14 attended a European Union and NATO seminar in Belgium and Luxembourg.
